New Year, Renewed Wellbeing: Spotlight on Canada Life UK's WeCare

Kicking of 2026 is a great time to highlight Canada Life, Insurope’s Network Member in the UK, for its enhanced commitment to employee wellbeing through its expanded WeCare, a health and wellbeing app, designed to support insured employees through every stage of life.

As workplaces continue to evolve and employees face new pressures in both their personal and professional lives, WeCare gives employers a simple and effective way to support their people with meaningful, everyday tools.

Serving the needs of 2.8 million employees

WeCare is a fully virtual wellbeing service designed to provide practical, immediate support to insured employees and their families. It offers 24/7 access to a UK-based GP, mental health resources, lifestyle coaching, rehabilitation guidance, and financial and legal advice. The program reflects a growing understanding across global employers that wellbeing is not a “nice to have.” It is fundamental to supporting a healthy workforce.

Canada Life recently expanded WeCare to all 2.8m members of its group protection schemes. This includes employees covered under Group Life, Income Protection, and Critical Illness plans, ensuring that wellbeing support is built into their protection benefits from day one.

Support suited to needs

Some of the services available through WeCare include:

• A GP available at any time through phone or video appointments
• Up to ten counselling or therapy sessions per issue for mental health support
• Tailored nutrition and fitness coaching through four to eight week programs
• Practical legal and financial guidance, from debt management to probate assistance
• Virtual physiotherapy and second medical opinion services for eligible insured members
