Insurope is proud to share exciting news from our Network Member in Costa Rica. As of August 2025, Adisa has officially rebranded to Internacional de Seguros, aligning its identity with its parent company in Panama and marking a strategic evolution for the organization.
This change celebrates 15 years of success in Costa Rica, where the company has built a strong foundation rooted in customer trust, operational excellence, and a robust ownership structure. The rebrand is more than a new name; it’s a reaffirmation of a regional vision, backed by more than a century of leadership in the Central American insurance market.
Despite the name change, the company’s shareholding remains unchanged. Internacional de Seguros, S.A. (Panama) continues to hold a 76% stake, with COOPENAE R.L. maintaining its strategic 24% share. This trusted partnership has been essential to the company’s stability and growth in Costa Rica.
The company also continues to demonstrate strong financial performance. Its AA- risk rating from Moody’s remains intact, reflecting its solid capital base, operational efficiency, low claims ratio, and a comprehensive reinsurance strategy.
For clients and policyholders, the transition is seamless. The name may be new, but the mission is not: to protect what matters most. With more than 140 insurance products, over a million policyholders, and a talented and expanding team, Internacional de Seguros remains a reliable and forward-thinking partner.
At Insurope, we are proud to count Internacional de Seguros among the trusted members of THE premier multinational pooling network. We congratulate them on this exciting next chapter and look forward to continued collaboration in delivering world-class employee benefits solutions across Latin America and beyond.
