Alex Zhavoronkov, PhD, Director and trustee of the Biogerontology Research Foundation, a UK-based think tank supporting ageing research worldwide, shook the conference audience by suggesting that the youth of today and the next generation will live to between 130-160 years old. Dr Zhavaronkov contributed to a very thought provoking opening morning session on the "economic backdrop to the provision of employee benefits in an ageing and increasingly health conscious society" which ended in an animated panel discussion.

Doug Carlson, responsible for the strategic direction of benefit programs for NCR's 23,000 employees around the world, gave a sound lesson on how to deftly manage and develop a multinational pooling arrangement with a considerable degree of success.

Traci Peterson, Director of the Global Human Resource Team at Accenture, leading Global Mobility and Global Benefit Program Development and Strategy, closed the conference on a high with an excellent wrap up summarising with wit and precision the presentations of the two content rich days of business sessions.
