RMA WATANYA was created in 01/01/2005 after the merger of two leading Companies: Royale Marocaine dAssurances (RMA), founded in 1956, and Al Wataniya, founded in 1920 as a Moroccan branch of Les Assurances Nationales (GAN Group in France).

The strong technical expertise of our teams and a permanent commitment in providing our clients with the best products and services, has led us to our leading position in all business lines (life and non-life) with the following market shares:

  • Employee benefits insurance :
    o Life insurance (pensions, death, disability, sickness benefit): 22%,
    o Health insurance: 33%,
    o Workmens compensation: 27%,
  • Property and casualty insurance:
    o Fire insurance: 25%,
    o Engineering and special risks: 29%.

RMA WATANYA has also developed a full range of risk management services including technical seminars for clients and brokers, and risk analysis advisory towards our clients especially in fire insurance, workmens compensation and health insurance.

Furthermore, as the leading Company of Morocco, RMA WATANYA has a wide portfolio of multinational clients and brokers and is managing the Moroccan side of multinational insurance programs via Insurope, including reinsurance and reporting aspects.

RMA WATANYA distributes its products through 12 branch offices, 80 agents, 80 brokers (including all the top ranked brokers), and three banks (for personal life and non-life products).
