The GAN, acquired in July 1998 by GROUPAMA, already France's foremost mutual insurer, is now part of a new group which is the nation's second-largest multi-line insurer (first personal health and the second major property and casualty insurer).
The GAN itself is one of largest group life insurers (EUR 1,36 billion premium income) and offers a wide choice of individual and group employee benefit arrangements.
With aggregate premium income of more than EUR 12,2 billion and EUR 51 billion in assets under management, the new group employs 30,000 employees. Its 6 distinct marketing channels serve 8 million members and customers under the GROUPAMA and GAN brand names.
GAN is the network's member for France and is a member of the Insurope's Executive Committee.
