A. TYPICAL LIFE AND DISABILITY BENEFITS
Background :
In France, most plans offer benefits which follow the French Social Security system.
As a result, benefits are expressed as a percentage of annual gross salary, which is divided into different slices :
Slices values in 2009 :
Slice A : 0 EUR until EUR 34 308
Slice B : from EUR 34 309 until EUR 137 232
Slice C : from EUR 137 232 until EUR 274 464
Depending on the industry sector in which a company
operates, there might be minimum benefits required by National
Agreements (Conventions Collectives).
The National Agreement to which each Company is subject, is related
to the NAF Code.
The purpose of the bellow benefits description is to
show a typical group insurance plan implemented for a given
category of employees.

I. Life benefits in case of affiliate�s death
- Payment of a lump sum benefit according to family status :

- In case of affiliate�s death, the beneficiaries, can opt for : the lowest capital amount + a progressive educational allowance of 8%, 10% and 12 %
In case of death of the employee, payment of an
indexed annual orphan�s pension to each dependent child equal to

8 % of basis salary until age 12
10 % of basis salary from age 13 until age 17
12 % of basis salary until age 21 or 26 if student.
15 % of basis salary if handicaped child regardless of age

Medical complementary reimbursements are usually made in complement to Social Security reimbursements and according to its legal tariffs and conditions.
