typical benefit plan

Australia - Standard Benefits

Term Life/ AD&D

- x% times salary times years and complete months to expiry age (usually 65). Where x is normally in the range of 10 to 25%.

- x times salary. Where x can range from 2 - 6 times salary. We don't come across much higher multiples than this.

- Fixed amount. For example $300,000.

- Age based units of cover where pricing is based on a $ per week basis.

Have a good mix of the above benefit basis within their insurance plans, however, the most common is probably the x times salary x future years service.

In addition, all cover must fall within their maximum levels of cover.
